How Period Delay Treatment Works
We can prescribe a medication called norethisterone, a synthetic hormone that helps delay your period safely. You’ll usually start taking the tablets 3 days before your period is due and continue for as long as you want to delay it (up to 17 days). Your period should then start 2–3 days after you stop taking the tablets.

Most women can take period delay tablets, but they are not suitable for everyone. That’s why we offer a quick in-person consultation to make sure the medication is right and safe for you.
